Blame this detour on Grant Morrison. (Well, that and me being burned out when it comes to thinking new stuff for ROKA strips).

Was reading Multiversity: The Just and had this weird feeling that there was something very familiar about it. And then it dawned on me that I had written this same plot (Superheroes investigating why someone would commit suicide in a perfect world) ten years ago in Guttertrash #25: A Suicide in Destiny City. Decided to reread my story to see how well it held up and despite a very clunky beginning -- the middle and ending were pretty good and I'd say that it was my best non-LNH thing I ever wrote. And in my own subjective narcissistic opinion I liked my story a lot better than Morrison's. (And I just want to make it clear that I'm not accusing Morrison of plagiarism. I'd be surprised if he actually ever read my story. Writers reinvent the wheel all the time. I know I do.)

Anyway, I do feel confident of my artistic abilities to take a crack at adapting this. God knows how many parts it will take to adapt the full story. Hopefully it will be finished sometime in 2015. And hopefully I'll have some clue where I'm going with Dr. Vivian N Tropolis stuff by that time.

Anyway, I hope if for some reason you're not reading Ripping Off King Arthur that you would at least check this out. So far what I've drawn is probably my best artwork. And the writing (as I get past the Commissioner Chip Hammer stuff) should be pretty good too. Hopefully, I'll be able to smooth out a lot of the clunky stuff in the beginning of the story.
