And then it dawned on me that I had written this same plot (Superheroes investigating why someone would commit suicide in a perfect world) ten years ago in Guttertrash #25: A Suicide in Destiny City. Decided to reread my story to see how well it held up and despite a very clunky beginning -- the middle and ending were pretty good and I'd say that it was my best non-LNH thing I ever wrote. And in my own subjective narcissistic opinion I liked my story a lot better than Morrison's. (And I just want to make it clear that I'm not accusing Morrison of plagiarism. I'd be surprised if he actually ever read my story. Writers reinvent the wheel all the time.
