Here's an interesting quote from sci.anthropology:

"The god Odin, in the scandinavian writings (early ones) is apparently
a
PERSON that was Turkish and who had writing that he showed the others
when
he came into their lands. (From the land of the Turks)."(P.Comm)

Hmm. Maybe Odin was Gilgamesh, having survived all those years through
the
wonders of yogurt. :)

On a more serious note, I just want to say that recent news puts all
this talk about
a Great Flood into perspective. I also think, in retrospect, that the
events in Lagneto
Saga, Part II and Lagneto 2017 might be a bit unrealistic: there'd
probably be a lot
of lingering anger towards Lagneto as a result of Asteroid L crashing
down in the
Indian Ocean and causing tsunamis to the point that Lagneto might have
been blamed
for similar occurances later on with people arguing that Asteroid L's
impact on the
ocean floor had rendered that area geologically unstable.
