Cataclysm Defense Mode

Hey, it's been a while since I mentioned Cataclysm around here, but I
recently released an update which might widen its appeal a little bit.

Cataclysm is an open-ended apocalypse survival roguelike, with a near-
future setting and an unbounded world.

This new update brings Defense Mode to Cataclysm--turning it from a
sandbox game with no goals outside of survival to a coffeebreak
roguelike that will generally last no longer than 15 minutes or so.

Defense Mode sees the player defending their diesel generator from a
never-ending wave of monsters. It's fully configurable, and has
several preset settings--defend a bar from throngs of slowly-moving
zombies in Shaun of the Dead mode, keep the hospital safe from robotic
assassins in Skynet mode, or defend your mansion from Lovecraftian
horrors in Call of Cthulhu mode.

As it is a near-future setting, Cataclysm is strongly focused on items
and guns; real-world firearms like the MP5 or TDI Vector, grenades,
flashbangs, methamphetamine, and kevlar vests.

Defense Mode retains the full game's crafting and construction engine,
allowing you to make a molotov cocktail, or board up the windows.
However, there is less focus on these, so even new players can jump
right in and not worry about them.

While this announcement is really about Defense Mode, the full game is
included as well. Defense Mode is a great way to dive into fast-
paced, combat-oriented gameplay, without having to worry about clean
water and a safe place to sleep, and may be a good option for
beginners.

A tutorial that teaches a few core concepts is included as well.
