Make Boring Art #9
Written by Drew Nilium

"Hello again, my name is Boring Arthur," says Boring Arthur. In a close-up, we
can see that he has a dozen plain peach band-aids on his face. "Today, we're
going to engage in wage labor."

The camera pulls back, and Boring Arthur is standing next to a big shelf of
groceries. In one hand, he holds a pricing gun.

Boring Arthur turns to the shelf, and sorts thru the boxes there. He finds
several that are askew, and pulls them to the front, turning them so that the
side with the name and logo on it faces out.

Finally, he finds a certain brand, and, meticulously, one by one, places an
orange sticker on them with a discounted price on them. His motion is
repetitive, but rhythmic, almost soothing in a way, and he carries out the task
with a clear sense of satisfaction.

For two minutes, five, ten, he moves down the shelf, fronting and facing,
finding things to sticker up; when he's done, the entire section looks
organized, appealing, full, handsome.

The camera pulls back more, and we see that there are force fields at either end
of the aisle, with confused customers trying to get in but not being able to
disturb Boring Arthur's process.

Boring Arthur turns to the camera and bows. "Thank you for your patience."
