One thing to remember is that Ares relied on his twin sister, Eris
(Roman name Discordia), to do a lot of the dirty work in starting the
conflict.  He didn't need to do much of the planning; he just took
advantage of it (and often gave her the idea of what he wanted).  If
may not be a coincidence that the Dark Age of comics coincided with
the rise of Discordianism on the rapidly-expanding Internet of the
mid-90s. . . .
