Every good superhero world actually should have that kind of thing,
and mine usually does.  I'm just pushing it farther than I usually
do.  And this time I'm going to try to avoid one of those cop-out
reality shifts that I fixed things with in 1999 and 2005.

I've read enough ASH to know about the apocalypse of 1998.  Or am I
thinking of Coherent Super Stories?  Or is there a difference?

In my case, I actually have a target.  In my archives as far back as
2002, I have dystopia in 2011 and the brink of extinction in
2022/2023.  (If you want to find the stories, do Web searches on
"Earth 2011", "Make it Never Was", and "Beyond the End".)  I've been
putting this decision off, but I'm gambling to actually go there now.
