Do you understand that when someone is denied bail, they're remanded
to custody in a prison to await trial, and that in no way violates
civil rights?  This is an actual thing.  I'm not making it up,
honest.  You may have even seen a scene in a film or TV show where a
lawyer visits their client in prison, before and during the trial.
This really happens.  It is an absurdly simple concept, and failing to
grasp it does not in any way constitute a valid criticism of my work.
