     "So, are we in a desert or Antarctica now?" I asked.  Looking up at the
sky didn't help, the weather was magically controlled.
     "I dunno, Mark, I don't really worry about it myself," Grant replied.
"But probably not.  I'm told that it's actually harder to hide us from
magical scrying if we're in too lifeless an area.  We have some short term
emergency locations in desolate areas, but try to stick to places with
animals and plants."
     "Ah, hide a book in a library, not in a parking lot."
     "Yep.  Also, mundane authorities like deserts these days.  Too much
competition."
