Felix Landers, also known as the Fearless Leader of the Legion of Net.Heroes,
yawned and stretched, muscles built by a good diet and a daily regimen of
disciplined exercise sliding under skin weathered by the fight for justice, by
trauma and by the effort of moving past it, and by the simple process of aging.
He ran a hand thru his stark white hair, sleep quickly evaporating from his
well-trained mind.
He felt a warm, dense, comfortable weight next to him, and looked down to see...
muscles built by a good diet and a daily regimen of disciplined exercise; skin
weathered by the fight for justice, by trauma and by the effort of moving past
it, and by the simple process of aging; and stark white hair. And he remembered
that, the day before, there had been a battle involving a net.villain from
another universe ("Looniverse-A"); and his counterpart from that universe had
stayed to chat; and they'd gone to the bar; and...
The other Felix had awoken at the movement, and was looking up at him; and he
could feel the same thought process taking place in his head.
"Ah."
"Yes. Good morning."
"...good morning."
"Shall we keep this a secret?"
"Seems like a good idea to me."
"...would you like to go again?"
"...seems like a good idea to me."
And skin met skin and things were warm, and a new element was added to the daily
regimen of disciplined exercise.
Outside, Gift-Wrapping Granny took the listening glass off the door. She
chuckled. "Adorable." She got up and stretched, cracking her joints, and took
out her phone and scrolled thru it as she walked off. "Mmm, I should set myself
up for a booty call too..."
