If you go back to chapter 2, you will find that the League's leading 
assassin was taken out by Silk, alias Dorothy Elizabeth Schumacher, who 
we see regularly at Kniaz Kang's. Kang is not merely a prince. The other 
half of his pun requires some competence in the pronunciation of Chinese 
names.
