I agree, leaving the story from Deirdre's point of view there was a good
decision.

I'm pretty bad at putting *extra* suspense in stories, but I'm working
on it. For your story, as a thought exercise, I imagined this Mundane
Egg at the point of becoming, and just needing a little extra push from
someone willing to sacrifice herself. Like, Deirdre.
