I bet the priesthood did.  They called them "linen ephods".  The custom 
came from Egypt.  The Hebrew priesthood loved that sort of cleanliness. 
  Customs did spread, and I bet that one was popular.  And we know 
Galatea joined the Greek priesthood.  8{D>
