Oops.  I kind of like it when Powernauts defeat the villain quickly and 
save the artist some work; they do that a lot.  And we'd established 
that this particular villain wasn't going to be talked out of his power, 
so even a pacifist Powernaut knows when a climactic big-bad-defeating 
counterstrike is needed.

Still, I see your point.  But even in retrospect I can't think of a good 
way to defeat this villain even more dramatically.
