... As we can see, 1969 is not *entirely* filled with liberated women.
How will Our Heroes respond to that? And, might there be *more*
rescuers - and more people to rescue? Powernaut 1969 *still* continues!

(S.O.S.)! The Other Rescuers
...
Paula Power obviously had Stonewater Smith and myself to rescue her. But
between the time I learned of a need for a rescue and the time we
launched it, I didn't have time to consider who else might be missing,
or who would be interested in recovering them.
- Marian Wolcott's nearest living relative was a sister who lived
across the country from her. Basically, no one knew Marian was gone.
- Jeffrey Goldblatt and Stephanie Brock each had parents, who dutifully
went through channels to report the mysterious abductions. This led to
some police notices but little effective action. However, this also led
to some tabloid news reports, which apparently got the self-styled
Powernaut's attention.
- Wyatt Ferguson, it seems, is a relative of the Secret Commando from
World War 2! The Commando and I fought on different fronts, he in Italy
and I in France; we never met. But apparently he retained his vigor
throughout the 1960s at least, and quite likely into 2004
(http://www.eilertech.com/stories/2004/crockery.htm).
- Lastly, Giulia Moretti (later Julie Wolcott) was the daughter of one
Louis Moretti, immigrant "businessman" of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr.
Moretti was well-informed on the entire situation, and had contacts with
freelance "enforcers". He was even able to coordinate with the Secret
Commando! Perhaps they'd met in Italy. Before we were quite able to
resolve the situation, they had their own rescue attempt going. But it's
unfortunate how their efforts collided with ours, especially with Power
Patrol support staff incapacitated due to the previous incident in our lab.
