In my reader, and on Wil's mirror, the "=" signs came up as "=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D", for reasons I cannot comprehend. A lot of other stuff got screwed up, some of which I managed to fix in this version, within the text of certain stories themselves-- I think it has to do with Peter's usage of "smart" quotes and other formatting concerns he ignored. :-)
