Then it's probably time I came up with my own theory...

The Cantaloupe Kids killed themselves, in response to subliminal TV 
messages from Hokey the Wonder Seal's Beddy Bed.  Their life force 
enabled Beddy Bed to cross into the "real" world and inhabit Max Ruetra. 
  The FBI agent posing as Weeds Stonerson is Beddy Bed's psychic thrall 
and will help him escape.  All the evil forces which oppose Webcomiclot 
will gather around Beddy Bed and start a magnificent final battle of 
which King Arthur would be proud...

And then Max will wake up and say, "What a weird dream."  8{D>
