Yes, different place.

The Mangler was in "The Divide". The series of interconnecting back
alleyways that separate the rich section of the city (The Westend) from
the poor section of the city (The Eastend). As you can see from the name
on the fence this is Dr.Abbeline's house in the Westend and Mary Reilly
is his maid. And as we last saw of Dr.Abbeline he was having his own
"issues". 

All a part of the high adventure. You'll see.

And yes, Mary isn't some throwaway character just because she's a
supporting character. All of the supporting characters have depth to
them.
