META: Adrian James McClure is an asshole

While I agree that this wasn't the most mature way Adrian could vent, do we really need to air dirty laundry in public? Can someone not just revert the wiki page, and Martin just send Adrian an e-mail saying "Hey, I saw what you did on the wiki and I want you to know that I'm kind of iffed about it."?

Even if you really feel the need to call him out in front of the group, and that's your choice to make, is the name-calling really necessary? I just don't feel that the best defence is a good offence in this situation. I think it's divisive and ultimately sours the atmosphere of a group that should be about fun and camaraderie.

I suppose, in closing, I have two quick questions:

1. Pretty sure my wiki account is with an old e-mail address (which is why I didn't just revert the edit myself). Should I dig out the old e-mail, make a new account, or can an admin change my old account over to my new e-mail? Happy to continue this discussion via e-mail.

2. Do we all just need to sit down and have an open and frank discussion about our feelings? No name calling, no personal jabs, just "Person X, you did actions A, B and C and they made me feel excluded and/or hurt. I'd appreciate it if you didn't do similar things in the future."

I'm sorry if this is long-winded or preachy but I just really don't want to see another flame war here, especially over something that was said nine months ago. We're all adults, surely we can move past this?

Mitchell.
