HCC: High Concept 36.5 voting, Ridiculously Late Edition

Well, we had a tie between Dave and Rob. And so I must cast my tie-breaker vote. Which is hard. 

Both stories were quite excellent (in fact, all eight were pretty great!), each succeeding in the different way it answered the challenge. In the end, however, I'll break the tie in Rob's favor.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who participated. The best I was hoping for with 36.5 was to prevent 36 from being fatal. I was pleasantly surprised and deeply gratified that 36.5 garnered so many responses, and that all of them were excellent.
