AHA! I have been reading through RACChallenge (it starts off slow but gets
interestingly weird later on), and I have found the answer to the question:
It is David Divad, AKA the not-actually-called-that-in-this-series
Swordmaster, of the Load Island Renegades! He shows up in chapter 15 of the
original RACChallenge.
