Ah, so someone finally looks for tracks.  I will accept that the High 
Queen's finest trackers neglected to do this, because (1) the Kingdom 
was provoked; (2) the Queen was distracted; and (3) it's an acceptable 
trope for a children's book that Our Hero is the only smart one in the
