Hrm.  You know, this whole snafu is making me think.

Brainstormingish: The looseness of the LNH was definitely an asset starting
out, but in the long-term, it lead to stuff like the whole Sig.ago debacle.
On the other hand, having a lot of restrictive rules on who can do what
wouldn't be any fun.

Perhaps we need someone to be the final arbiter of continuity.  Not so much
a Council of Elders type of thing, or even an Editor-in-Chief kind of
overseer, more like... an umpire, who would make the calls on what's in and
what's out when they need to be made, and otherwise step back and let
things run as they will.

I dunno; what'cha think?
