1 he doesn't think of the lycos as “killing” because... uh... maybe 
they're drones or something?

2 or that “doesn't count” because in his reckoning it was a war

3 or maybe he said “*this* gun” (emphasis mine)

He kills one too in Tales #1... that was my bad.
