I haven't been following your future stories.  But I have to say, this
introduction drew me right in to your 1995 universe.

Given everything that happened in North Africa 1940-1960, I can almost
believe in an Aryan-Berber National Socialist Republic of Rommelania,
right around the Algerian / Tunisian border.  I trust you must already
have a web site or an archive where I can learn more about Khadam, so
I'll just go look on the Web now.

As for opposites, I think this story takes advantage of the fact that
everything is an opposite of everything else in some manner - like
Federal Germany and Khadam, for instance.  The story didn't dwell a
lot on opposites, but it had great action.  I'd ask if it's building
up to something... but I suspect it's building up to the Big Event.
