In comics, my idol is Grant Morrison.  The sheer density of ideas in
one of his works is like Bertie Botts' Every Flavor Creativity.  I
also owe much to the works of Gardner Fox, for almost exactly the same
reason.

In prose, my model is Terry Pratchett.  His characters feel like they
were standing in the room with him, dictating their lines as he wrote,
yet the humor flows straight from their words and deeds.

As well, Mark Rosewater's weekly article on dailymtg.com has been
surprisingly influential.  He's just so good at breaking down how
creative things work!
