Martin,

I don't set myself up as a "writing guru".  I do try to "set myself
up" as an intelligent person.  I offer my opinions and I try to do so
in a way that is intelligent and helpful, with a certain modicum of
style and wit.  Stating one's opinions forceably is standard critical
procedure.

If you find my opinions unhelpful, I apologize.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
