I'm encouraged by the arrivals of new -- and terrific --
writers like Tarq, Andrew Burton and Frumpy, as well as
the return of many old-timers to the group.

At the same time, I worry that the numbers you're looking
at represent the posts of about a dozen or so very, very
active writers, rather than the 30-40 writers posting
around 1997.  The renaissance will only happen
if we continue to attract new readers and new ideas
to the group.
