  There was one Vel story arc where I PURPOSELY used
different tense for different eras.  The present day
stuff being written in PAST tense and the past events
written in present tense.   To this day I'm not quite
sure why... I think it might have been trying to
invoke a sense of temporal paradox or something.  I'm
not really sure.
