I've actually considered doing an essay on TALES OF THE LNH.  The only
thing preventing me from doing so is that it's such a long series--
even though the stories are infinitely enjoyable-- that it'd take
forever to do the research/prep work necessary.  Secondly, I think it
has enough champions that anything I have to say would be redundant.
And, I remember Rob Rogers writing an excellent little essay about
Panta when Hubert retconned her out of existence, and he pretty much
said everything there that I would have said.  So that would make it
even more redundant, or redundantly redundant, if you will, which would
just be redundant.

Or something.

The Rogers essay is worth seeking out, BTW.
