Which is why I think we're still at the "too early" stage. Another year or
two, perhaps.

It's also possible to write the relevant header files for your system,
after which it Just Works. But the same comment applies.

The fact that nobody has worried about this is - to my mind - another stake
through the "977 had no limit" argument.
