No, this is not optimal on transmission delays. IMHO, after starting a 
new stream by sending a few CHECKs, you should then send a new CHECK
for each answer you get. And if you have to send a TAKETHIS (followed
by the article), then you have to send the CHECK before the TAKETHIS.
