The archives appear to be majorly screwed up.

I appeared to be missing a message from a current thread, so I went and
looked at the archives. The December 2003 section seems to contain messages
from December 2001, or possibly even older than that, even though the dates
on the messages claim to be 2003.

In the meantime I can't find what I wanted (which was the :bytes thread).
