[NNTP] sending response to LIST

hey since i am creating my nntp server from scratch, if i send the
reponse to LIST command as follows

215CRLF
.CRLF (To indicate that there are no groups)

will this work, i tried but did not work, shld i send anyother message
after the .CRLF? also if i do send the group name, if save this as a
text file say grp.abc which has the list of group names and description
and i send it grp.abcCRLF, it is not working. Any suggestions?

P.S. Client is MS Outlook
