ietf-nntp OVER response code 420: 2 cases

In the draft-ietf-nntpext-base-15.txt the response codes for OVER are defined
as:
224 Overview information follows (multi-line
response)
412 No newsgroup currently selected
420 No article(s) selected
500 Command not recognized
502 Program error, functions no performed
The text says that 420 should also be used when the articles/overview in the
range specified are not available. I wondered if a code like 421 would be more
in line with the ARTICLE/NEXT/... commands. They use the xx0 to indicate
'article not selected', and set the last digit to something <> 0 to indicate a
valid number. The examples use 420 for both cases:
420 No such article in this group
420 No current article selected
Would it not be more consistent to add 421 or so to indicate that there are not
articles in the range requested ?
Thanks, Wilbert
