A few nit-picks:

In 4.1 you need to delete the paragraph beginning "Each recognized command
MUST return 501" as the important part was merged into the previous
paragraph.

In 7.1.1, the first example needs the first [C] line removing, and the
second example needs it replacing by the new "[Initial TCP ...]" line.

In 10.1.1, you've omitted the line "The server then closes the connection".

Now that you've added generic codes, you can remove most references to them
elsewhere. To be specific:

8.1.1 remove the 400 response and the last paragraph
9.2.{1,2,3,4}.1 remove the 502 response
9.2.{1,2,3,4}.2 consider removing the last example
9.4.{2,3,4,5} remove the reference to 501
9.4.{2,3,4,5}.1 remove the 501 response
9.4.{2,3,4}.2 consider removing the last example
9.4.{2,3,4,5} consider removing the reference to 503
9.4.{2,3,4,5}.1 remove the 503 response
9.4.{2,3,4,5}.2 either remove the example with 503, or change the
response to "[S] 503 information not stored"
9.5.1.1 remove the last paragraph
9.5.1.1.1 remove the 500 response
9.5.2.1 consider removing the references to 501 and 503
9.5.2.1.1 remove the 501 and 503 responses
9.5.2.1.2 as for 9.4.{2,3,4,5}.2
9.5.2.2 remove the reference to 500
9.5.2.2.1 remove the 500 and 502 responses
9.5.3.1 remove the reference to 500
9.5.3.1.1 remove the 500 and 502 responses
9.5.3.1.2 consider removing the last example

["consider" means that I'm not sure whether it should stay or go. For
example, should we have examples with generic responses in specific
commands, or should we have an examples section in 4.1.1 ?]

I'm eager to hear more.
