Quick and simple: I suggest a few tidyings up:

> some other fault occurs), the server SHALL gracefully cease
> its attempts to service the client.

Change SHALL to MUST, and append "disconnecting from its end if necessary".

In 10.1.1 change the description of the response as I suggest elsewhere:

       205       closing connection

and append:

  The server then closes the connection.

Put the chatty version in the example:

        [S] 205 closing connection - goodbye !

and again append:

  The server then closes the connection.
