Actually, on looking further into it, 502 is still an odd choice for
"permission denied for requested article" even if you admit the '5xx' part
of it, since 'x0x' is supposed to be for "Connection, setup, and
miscellaneous messages". I would have expected '53x' at least.

Are we really stuck with 502 for this?
