I've been told by a couple of people that they think that IETF mailing 
lists can't be closed to subscribers only. That is not true. It *is*
true that you aren't allowed to stop people from subscribing, but
there is no reason you can't block non-subscriber postings.

Also, majordomo mailing lists make it very easy to forward blocked
messages to the list by "approving" them manually.

This sort of thing is getting to be *really* annoying. Lets just stop it.
