This series of his was pretty much my inspiration to write Royals - well, to 
expand upon Star Princess Jack.  It does remind me a lot of Baum's work 
(which I also enjoy), and it's always a delight to read things that are both 
fanciful tales and thoughtful vignettes about human nature and relationships.
